Appleton™ retrofit mounting hood adapters allow end users to seamlessly retrofit energy-efficient, Appleton™ Mercmaster™ LED Generation 3, Mercmaster™ LED low-profile and Mercmaster™ Connect Series luminaires to already installed HID mounting hoods for Appleton™ Mercmaster™ II luminaires as well as select Crouse-Hinds and Killark™ luminaires. Compact adapter design helps to maintain LED luminaires' compact, lightweight, low-profile design, making them ideal for low-mounting height applications. They ensure easy, fast installation and have no loose parts. Because there is no new mounting hood to install, there are no new wires to pull, lowering labor costs. A cast opening allows for safety cable connection. The standard adapter is compatible with ceiling and pendant-mounting hoods and the offset adapter is compatible with stanchion and wall-mounting hoods. They feature an extra high hinge, swing away design and captive bolt and nut adds safety while simplifying installation and servicing.
