You can place an online order with Carlton-Bates through our ecommerce site, CBCDirect.com. CBCDirect.com is a secure site owned by Carlton-Bates Company. Just follow these steps:
Search for the items you need here. If you are in the Search Results view, you can enter the desired quantity and select Add to Cart. Another option is to select the description column to view details of the part, then enter the quantity on the right side and select Add to Cart.
When you are finished shopping, select Checkout on any screen.
Complete the required information in the Checkout section.
Place your order by clicking "Submit Order" on the Review Order page.
How do I add an item to my cart?
If you have found the item in search results, click the "Buy" icon in the Quantity column. If you're viewing a part detail page, enter the quantity in the buy field and click the "Add to Cart" icon. You'll see the item placed in your cart.
How do I continue shopping from the shopping cart?
To initiate a new search, select Product Search.
How do I delete an item from my cart?
Select the “Remove Item” link.
What are order minimums and multiples?
Certain products like resistors or cable come in reels or packs of set length or quantity. There are items that are not stocked and have a minimum purchase requirement from the factory.
How do I tell if inventory is available for a part?
Search for the part you're interested in. In the search results, the Availability column displays the amount currently in stock.
What does it mean when a part is backordered?
Occasionally, demand for certain electronic parts is so great that industry-wide shortages emerge and we are temporarily unable to keep them in inventory. In that situation, we will advise you of expected waiting time for delivery and offer substitute or similar items as an alternative.
Are all of Carlton-Bates’ parts available online?
Our online database stores information for the most popular electronic products. In addition to the products listed in our online database, we have access to more products from many manufacturers. How do I view my shopping cart?
You can view your cart by clicking the shopping cart link, which is found on the top right of every page of the website.
How do I print a copy of my order?
On the Order Review page, click "Print Page" to view your order in a format which is easy to print. Click "Print Page" to print the page. When you're finished, click "Close this Window". When you return to the Order Review page, click "Submit Order". Your order is not submitted until the "Submit Order" button has been clicked. You can also print a copy of your order after submitting the order. Click "Print Page" on the Order Confirmation page to view your order in a format which is easy to print. Click "Print Page" to print the page. When you're finished, click "Close this Window."
What type of order confirmation will I receive?
We will send an order confirmation to the email address you provided us. The order confirmation will contain the order number and a list of the parts you purchased along with prices and quantities. You will also receive a shipping notice once your order is shipped.

Can I save my shopping cart and complete my order later?
Yes. In the shopping cart, you can save your cart by entering the name of your choice in the Save Cart field, then click "Save Cart". The saved cart is then available in My Account.
How do I buy the items in my saved cart again?
There are two kinds of Saved Carts: Draft Cart and Shopping List. A Draft Cart stores the complete list of items in a named cart. This will allow you to make quick purchases of the same list of items. There is also a shopping list which allows you to put specific items in the list that you the purchase frequently.
How long will my saved cart be stored?
We'll store your saved carts indefinitely as long as they've been accessed in the past 12 months. Carts that have not been accessed in the past 12 months will be deleted automatically.
How do I delete a saved cart?
In the List of Saved Shopping Carts, check the Delete box of the cart you want to delete. Then click "Update".
