Why are we in business? For us it’s not as simple as to make money. Of course we have to make a profit to stay in business. But that’s not the reason that we are in business. Carlton-Bates Company was founded long ago by a couple of guys who were fascinated by the automation of industrial plants, and they wanted to be a part of that revolution. They wanted to figure out “Manufacturing Excellence.” That desire has not changed since day one. This is why, and will always be, why we are in business.
